Why a Raw Food Challenge

A raw food challenge that allows people to slowly integrate raw food into their diet, I believe it is the best way for families to learn about the benefits of a raw food diet. This challenge is not a 100% Raw Challenge, as for many this is simply impossible. But by making smaller changes daily with one raw meal a day, the long term changes become habits, and the habits become healthier families and kids:)

Organically grown raw and living foods provide high-quality nutrition while naturally supporting both proper digestion and a well-functioning immune system. With raw food, digestion and elimination are quick and easy. Eating raw live foods helps to alkalize the body, a key factor in building excellent health. When the body is in an alkaline state, it is better able both to absorb nutrients and expel toxins more efficiently. When you have an alkaline body you have a healthy body and healthy children.TheRawFoodMum_IntroIntoRawFoodsEbook

What if I don’t have a blender or dehydrator?

The cost of kitchen essentials may seem high at first but the long term investment certainly Newsletter TEMPLATE-11pays off. I highly recommend anyone who wants to start a raw food journey to invest in a high speed blender, I personally use and love the Optimum Blenders they are on par with the Vitamix in terms of quality and performance ( see my review here)

As for a dehydrator – they are an investment. However when starting a raw diet you can use an oven on the lowest setting with the door slightly ajar- It is not 100% raw but it is a start until you can afford one.

From March 12, 2014 and until the 21st of April, 2014 we have FREE SHIPPING on both the Optimums Blenders and the full range of Excalibur Dehydrators at The Raw Food Store! You will need to use the following code: RawChallenge14
